Wild Jester are northside Dubliner ROY WILDERS & north Sydney's JESSE BALFOUR.
Jesse says...We met playing gigs on the Northern River's Music Scene.
One night in a rehearsal at my place, Roy rocks up and says "we should be writing our own stuff". With that, out came the guitar & mic and a few hours later we had written the first two tracks which become the start of the "LAZY SMILE" album.
Roy says...The really nice thing about this record was we didn't have a set plan of style or kind of record we were going to make. We just wanted to write and record good songs.
The writing came very easy to the boys, as if they had been writing together for years. Both Jesse & Roy have picked up a lot of know-how along the long roads of their musical careers and used their craft well in the making of this record.
Roy says...We are both old school when it comes to recording and performance. You press record and you get it right! To capture an energy in the recording was the most important thing for us both.
Though Roy has already established himself in Europe with years of writing, recording and touring, it has only been over the last two years that the boys have taken to the European stage together with live shows in BERLIN, GERMANY.
But really what's important, is the MUSIC and the SONGS and the true PASSION of this writing partnership that is WILDERS & BALFOUR..
